About the Council
Community councils were established under the Local Government Act 1972 (LGA 1972) and replaced the previous system of Parish Councils.
After the establishment of community councils, Llanelwedd Community Council consisted of three wards with nine Councillors. Four Councillors representing the ward of Builth Road, three Councillors representing Llanelwedd village and two Councillors representing the parish of Llanfaredd.

The Community Council meet every third Tuesday of the month except August. The meetings are held in the Jubilee Hall at 7-30pm.
